Mohave Shrine Annual Clothe-A-Child Christmas Program

The Christmas season will be here sooner than we think.

Each year the Mohave Shrine Club tries to provide 100 deserving 5-13 year old children, a Christmas event to remember.  With your support we can make this happen again this year.

The children are identified through the local school districts.  Applications are distributed to the local schools and the approved applications are then forwarded to the Shrine Club.  This is to ensure that there isn't any preferential treatment or favoritism by the Shrine membership and that we truly help those most deserving and in need of clothing.

The children come to the Shrine Club, where they are provided breakfast.  They are then transported to Wal-Mart by bus where they are each met by an adult who takes them shopping.  Each child is allowed to purchase $100.00 of shoes and clothing.  They are then bussed back to the Shrine Club for a hot lunch.  Following the lunch they are greeted by Santa Clause, who presents each child with a small gift bag.  All this will happen in mid December.  You are invited to participate in this heart-warming event as a sponsor, donor, shopper, or Santa's helper.

If we are to make this event successful, it will be necessary to raise $12,000.  If it is possible for your company or group to help support this cause we will be more than grateful.  Any donation you can provide, if being financial, toys, or other items, will be appreciated & accepted.  Throughout the year we hold raffles, drawings, and have a golf tournament where we can use your donations as door prizes for these functions.

All donations for the Clothe-A-Child program are tax deductible and are use in the local Tri-State area only.  This means you are supporting our community.  More importantly, you are supporting some of the community's less fortunate and most deserving children.

If you have any questions or want to make arrangements for pick up of donations please call 928-758-5113.  Donations can be sent to, or dropped off at, the Mohave Shrine Club.

Please contact us if you would like us to make a presentation to your group or staff.

Please join us in December, as a shopper or Santa's Helper.  To participate, you should be at the Shrine Club at 7:00 am.
